Baguio College of Technology joined other 19 technical vocational schools of Baguio City in celebrating the 6th Ubdan Daing 2008 that carried the theme "Fostering a culture of excellence", held at the Baguio People's Park - Malcolm Square last Sept. 20-24. Baguio Association of Private Technical-Vocational Institutes (BAPTI), and Technical Education Skills Development Association (TESDA) in coordination with the city goverment of Baguio partook in the said event. Ubdan Daing is an ibaloi term which started out year 1978. Ubdan means work and daing is skill.
Digital designer pockets gold
Christopher Diaz, cartoonist of the school paper, The Atom and sophomore Information Technology student, emerged champion in the digital design competition held at Data Center College of the Philippines (DCCP) last Sept. 23. Diaz, a greenhorn in digital design ranked first among the five contending school leaving behind Data Center College of the Philippines (DCCP) and University of Baguio (UB) second and third place respectively.
