BCT Shines in LitMus Competition

Baguio College of Technology proved they are not just good in sports but also in different competitions as they bagged awards during the LitMus contest held at Easter College gym last March 1.
Mickaela Gissele Soriano, Engineering student and Deo Niño Martinez, Info. Tech. student wowed the judges with their rendition of “Lucky”, making them the champion in the vocal duet competition. April Delos Santos, also an Info. Tech. student won first place in the Extemporaneous Speech. Jenwil Pacio, also an Info. Tech. student won second place in Oration and Vanessa Florendo, Electronics student won fourth place in the Vocal Solo Competition.
They were accompanied by Nelson Tacadena, one of the school’s instructor.
The contest, as a part of the CHESAA was participated by 14 different colleges in the city.
Siddayao Leads 2010 Graduates

Jasmindesa Y. Siddayao, a BS Industrial Technology Major in Electronics student led the 238 graduates gaining the highest academic award as Cum Laude in the school’s 37th Commencement Exercises held at Baguio Convention Center on April 14 with the theme “Invigorating Education Through a Rising Nation.”

Two BCT trainers conducted an extensive 5-day cell phone repair training for the first batch of Out-of-School Youths (OSYs) at the University of the Cordillera (UC) laboratory training center last January 11 to February 8 2009.
Glenn Prestoza and Allan Argel, both Electronics and Electrical instructors imparted their technical skills to the first batch of OSYs trainees which carried the theme “Sagip-Kabataan.”

Baguio College of Technology joined other 19 technical vocational schools of Baguio City in celebrating the 6th Ubdan Daing 2008 that carried the theme "Fostering a culture of excellence", held at the Baguio People's Park - Malcolm Square last Sept. 20-24. Baguio Association of Private Technical-Vocational Institutes (BAPTI), and Technical Education Skills Development Association (TESDA) in coordination with the city goverment of Baguio partook in the said event. Ubdan Daing is an ibaloi term which started out year 1978. Ubdan means work and daing is skill.
